About the position

The Basketball Logger job is versatile, and it offers possibilities for both former basketball players or coaches, as well as basketball fans and people with the knowledge of the game.

From the NBA to NCAA to the Euro league, the world’s best basketball teams rely on Synergy Basketball to get the most out of their players. Synergy provides advanced data and analytics, all tied to video content, to make scouting and game preparation as seamless as possible.

How does Synergy work?
Synergy relies on our team of Loggers, working around the world, to prepare games for our clients. Loggers are responsible for watching games and tagging certain events. This happens in two phases: Phase 1 takes a full game and breaks it down into possessions, and Phase 2 breaks those possessions down into specific outcomes and play types.

Your profile

  • If you love watching Basketball, you will likely be a great fit to our team.
  • You have knowledge of the rules, and you can identify start and end of a possession, offensive rebounds, free throws.
  • You are a former basketball player or a coach with a deeper knowledge of the game who can recognize post-ups, isolations, pick and rolls, spot-ups, hand-offs, cuts.
  • You are a superfan of basketball and never miss a game, we want to hear from you!
  • You have an ability to write and speak in English.
  • You are flexible to work around the sporting calendar and weekends in assigned shifts.

What's your mission and tasks?

  • Categorizing Phase1 clips based upon standard possession-ending play types.
  • Identifying Start and End of a possession, offensive rebounds, free throws.
  • Identifying post-ups, isolations, pick and rolls, spot-ups, hand-offs, and cuts.
  • Identifying man vs zone defense.
  • Identifying full court presses.
  • Identifying hard doubles and Pick and Roll switches.
