Baltic Workboats is a state-of-the-art shipyard situated in Saaremaa, currently employing more than 250 industry experts.

Our manufactured vessels are highly valued by numerous national and private sector professional ship owners worldwide for their high quality and innovative solutions.

The Workboats production complex is situated in Nasva village on Saaremaa, while the sales and development department is located in Tallinn.

As a Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:

1Creating BWB’s next-generation modular software, which encompasses the development of ship hybrid power equipment (engines, battery systems, and energy management) control systems and the development of ship monitoring and automation systems.

Writing software.

Setting tasks and supervising other work, including sharing your knowledge and introducing “best practice” solutions.

Collaborating with engineers from other fields, responsible for your scope.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

2+ years of experience in software development;

Proficiency in planned languages/technologies: Go, Python, C/C++, Javascript, ROS2;

Proficiency in these languages is not mandatory but is a contributing factor during the application process;

Experience is beneficial, but we are looking for talent with a desire to create future vessels;

Understanding of physics and mathematics;

Strong command of the English language;

Taking responsibility for the project to its completion;

Knowledge of PLC programming and robotics is a plus.
